The 6 Best Brunch Spots in Lekki, Ranked
Brunch spread with pancakes eggs coffee and mimosa on a marble table
Six kitchens that get the Saturday-morning table right, ordered on food, coffee and the room together.
One to three
1) Cactus in Maruwa. The Lagos brunch institution — buttermilk pancakes, salmon eggs benedict, and a courtyard that fills by 10.30am on Saturdays. Arrive at 9 or wait an hour. 2) Bature Brewery Sunday buffet in Phase 1. ₦25,000 all-in with unlimited beer, wine and food from 12 to 5. Best value brunch in the city if you can drink.
3) Cafe Vergnano at Palms Mall. Italian-run, proper espresso, and the pastries are actually croissant-shaped. Quieter than Cactus and open from 8am.
Four to six
4) Cilantro at Circle Mall for a more Nigerian brunch — akara and pap alongside the eggs. The garden seating is the draw. 5) Foundry Coffee Roasters in Lekki Phase 1 for coffee-first brunch — the espresso is the best in Lekki and the toasts and eggs are simple and correct. Small room; go early.
6) Bungalow at Landmark Beach for a beachside brunch when you have visitors from out of town and want to show off. The food is fine, not great — you are paying for the view. I have left off the hotel brunches (Eko, Radisson) because they are pricey buffets rather than proper cooked-to-order rooms.
Before you book
What people ask before booking Lekki Phase 1.
Foundry, without contest. Vergnano second.
Only at Bature (the Sunday buffet) and occasional promotions at Bungalow. Otherwise no — labour costs on unlimited alcohol are prohibitive in Lagos.
