Six trips within three hours of Lekki Phase 1, ordered by how much they reward the journey.
One to three
1) Badagry. Two hours west via the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The Slave Route, the Mobee Family Museum and the Point of No Return give you a heavy, essential half-day. Hire a local guide at the museum for ₦5,000. 2) Epe. 90 minutes east along the Lekki-Epe Expressway. The fish market on Monday mornings is the real one — go by 7am. Combine with a boat to Epe Resort or the mangroves.
3) La Campagne Tropicana, Ibeju-Lekki. One hour if traffic behaves. A full resort day for around ₦25,000 including lunch. Better value than most weekends inside Lekki proper.
Four to six
4) Lekki Conservation Centre plus Lufasi Nature Park. Both sit on the Lekki-Epe axis and pair well — canopy walk in the morning, endangered turtle sanctuary at Lufasi after lunch. 5) Ikoyi. Not far but a different city — Freedom Park, Kalakuta Museum in Ikeja if you extend, and the old colonial streets. Best on a Sunday when traffic collapses.
6) Lakowe Lakes for golf or a spa day if you have the budget — ₦40,000 gets you 18 holes and lunch. It is a corporate resort, not a cultural trip, so I have ranked it last. Anything further — Abeokuta's Olumo Rock, Ogun's rainforests — is a weekend, not a day trip, and Lagos traffic will punish you if you try.

6am on a weekday, 7am on a Sunday. The Lagos-Badagry Expressway congests fast and the return leg after 4pm can take four hours.
Only if you skip the fish market and start at La Campagne, then push east to Epe for late lunch. Tight but doable with a private car.
