The 6 Best Views in Lekki, Ranked
Skyline view of Lekki high-rises at dusk from a rooftop
Six places to actually see Lekki from above or across the water, ordered by payoff versus effort.
One to three
1) Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge at sunset. Walk from the Lekki toll plaza side onto the pedestrian lane around 6.15pm. The lagoon, the Ikoyi skyline and the sun dropping behind Third Mainland — free and unbeatable. 2) The canopy walkway at Lekki Conservation Centre. 21 metres up over rainforest — not a city view but the best natural one on the peninsula.
3) Rooftop at Bature Brewery in Phase 1. Low-rise view of Admiralty and the lagoon in the distance. Best with a beer at 5pm on a Saturday before the crowd arrives.
Four to six
4) The 15th-floor bar at Radisson Blu Anchorage (VI side, walking distance from Phase 1). Marina and Lekki views in the same sweep. 5) Any beach-facing balcony at Landmark Beach around 6.30pm — the Atlantic horizon and the Oniru skyline together. Costs the beach entry only.
6) The Lekki Phase 1 roundabout flyover at night. Sounds odd but the view east along the Lekki-Epe Expressway with all the tail-lights and billboards is the most honest picture of what Lekki actually is — a fast, sprawling, ambitious city being built in real time. Uber-drop and walk 100 metres.
Before you book
What people ask before booking Lekki Phase 1.
No. Lagos does not have a public observation tower. Rooftop bars and the Link Bridge are the substitute.
Yes on the pedestrian lane. Do not stop your car on the road deck — LASTMA will fine you.
