Best for young kids

Yin Yang Boutique on Fola Osibo and Best Western Plus Elomaz on Admiralty Way both keep shallow-end pools, a small play area and 24-hour room service — the three things that actually matter with under-fives. Rooms run $110 to $160 a night with a cot supplied free on request. Bolton White Apartments in Ikate does two-bedroom units at $180 with a proper kitchenette, which saves the 6am scramble for cereal.

Best for teenagers

Teenagers need wifi, a pool and something to do within walking distance. The George in Ikoyi hits all three at $200 a night and puts you five minutes from the Nike Art Gallery. In Lekki proper, hotels near Circle Mall (Jakande) give teens somewhere to escape you for a few hours — the cinema, food court and arcade are all under one roof. Book anywhere within a $6 Uber of the mall.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Do Lekki hotels have connecting rooms?

Rarely. Book a suite or two-bed apartment instead — the apartment-hotels along Chevron drive are your best bet.

Are the beaches safe for kids?

Eleko and La Campagne yes, with lifeguards and gentle surf. Avoid the exposed stretches near Alpha Beach entirely.

Doing good is the business: every booking through Stay Lekki funds one verified tonne of carbon removal — same room, same price, no markup.
