Why it matters here
Most Lekki hotels include parking, but 'free' and 'secure' aren’t the same thing. You want a walled compound, a boom gate and a night guard who logs plates. Anywhere with cars parked on Admiralty Way itself is a hard no — break-ins during Friday night traffic are a known problem. Budget $10 to $15 a day at properties that do charge, usually the Victoria Island end.
The recommended list
Bon Voyage Hotel on Admiralty Way, Yin Yang Boutique on Fola Osibo, Ibis Styles Ikeja Airport, Best Western Plus Elomaz and De Renaissance Hotel in Ikeja all include gated parking with 24-hour security. In Ikate, Bolton White Apartments has underground parking, which is rare and useful in rainy season. Rates run $90 to $180 a night. Ask specifically for CCTV coverage if you’re driving something worth stealing.
Questions, answered
Is valet standard?
No — most compounds are self-park with a guard. Only the top-tier VI hotels valet, and they’ll charge $8 to $12 for the service.
Can I leave a car for a weekend trip?
Yes at all listed, but tip the day guard $5 and note the shift-change times so someone always has eyes on it.
Doing good is the business: every booking through Stay Lekki funds one verified tonne of carbon removal — same room, same price, no markup.
