Where the equipment actually works
Lagos Continental (formerly Intercontinental) on Kofo Abayomi has the best-maintained hotel gym in the wider Lekki-VI corridor — full Technogym set, a squat rack, and the AC never dies. Radisson Blu Anchorage runs a close second with a proper cable machine and dumbbells up to 40kg. Eko Hotel's Signature Wing gym is bigger than most but the equipment rotation is uneven; ask which machines are working when you check in.
In Lekki Phase 1 proper, Bon Hotel Elphi and The Blowfish have small but functional gyms — think treadmill, bike, and dumbbells to 25kg. Enough for a maintenance session, not enough for a proper training block. Landmark's hotel wing has a decent gym you can pair with the beach club. Oriental Hotel on Lekki-Epe expressway is dated but the free weights are all present.
The 24-hour question
Very few Lekki hotels genuinely offer 24-hour gym access. Radisson Blu and Lagos Continental are the reliable ones — key-card entry, no staff required. Everywhere else, the gym opens between 6am and 10pm and locks otherwise, regardless of what booking.com says. If you train early or late, confirm access hours by phone, not email.
Guest passes for non-residents run ₦8,000-₦15,000 a day at the international chains. Nuli Wellness in Victoria Island and i-Fitness branches in Lekki Phase 1 are cheaper alternatives if your hotel gym disappoints. Both take walk-ins for around ₦5,000.
Questions, answered
Any hotels with a personal trainer on staff?
Lagos Continental and Radisson Blu keep trainers on retainer. Sessions cost ₦20,000-₦30,000 an hour and need booking a day ahead.
Which Lekki hotel gyms have a pool for cross-training?
Landmark, Eko Hotel, Radisson Blu, and Lakowe Lakes all pair a working gym with a swimmable pool longer than 15 metres.
