The beach country
Ibeju-Lekki runs from Awoyaya out to Eleko and Lakowe, and this is where you’ll find the sand that people fly to Lagos for. Eleko Beach, La Campagne Tropicana, and the string of private beach resorts sit along this coast. It's rural — palm plantations, half-built estates, the massive Dangote refinery — and 60 to 90 minutes from Lekki Phase 1 depending on Sangotedo traffic.
Where to stay
La Campagne Tropicana is the flagship — $220 a night, full board, private beach, horse rides and a saltwater lagoon. Amen Estate area has smaller beach lodges from $110. For golf, Lakowe Lakes Golf Resort has villas at $180 a night on a proper 18-hole course. Book two nights minimum — one night doesn’t repay the drive time. Bring cash for tolls (Lekki-Epe expressway) and roadside pepper soup stops.

Can I day-trip from Lekki?
Yes for Eleko Beach — 90 minutes each way. For La Campagne, stay overnight; a day trip doesn’t work.
Is it safe out there?
Yes at the established resorts. Don’t wander into unmarked beach access points alone.
