Lekki in One Day: The Best 12-Hour Itinerary

A tight 12-hour plan that hits the canopy walk, Nike Art Gallery, a beach lunch and Landmark sunset without spending the day in traffic.
Morning: 8am to 1pm
Start at Lekki Conservation Centre on Lekki-Epe Expressway at 8:30am, the moment it opens. You want the canopy walkway before the heat and the school groups arrive around 10am. Budget 90 minutes for the boardwalk, tree house and the 401-metre walk itself. Entry is 3,000 naira for adults, 5,000 for the canopy add-on.
From LCC drive 12 minutes east to Nike Art Gallery in Ikate. Nike Okundaye or one of her staff will often walk you through the five floors personally if you ask. Give it 90 minutes. Grab an early lunch at Cafe Neo in Ikate for a fast coffee and sandwich, or Bature Brewery on Admiralty Way if you want a proper sit-down.
Afternoon: 1pm to 6pm
Head to Elegushi Beach in Phase 1 for a couple of hours. Pay the 3,000 naira gate fee, rent a cabana for 15,000, and eat suya and grilled fish from the beach vendors. Skip the horse rides unless you love a hard sell. If Elegushi feels too loud, drive 20 minutes further to Oniru Private Beach, which is calmer and better maintained.
By 4pm, move to Landmark Beach and Landmark Village on Water Corporation Road. This is your late-afternoon anchor: shopping, ice cream at Hans and Rene, and the best sunset in Lagos over the Atlantic from the boardwalk around 6:30pm.
Evening: 7pm onward
Dinner options from Landmark: walk to Shiro for upscale Asian fusion, or drive 10 minutes to RSVP in Victoria Island for the see-and-be-seen crowd. If you want Nigerian, book Yellow Chilli on Oniru for jollof, egusi and grilled catfish in a proper Lagos dining room.
Finish at a rooftop bar. Sao Cafe in Victoria Island has a strong cocktail list and live saxophone Thursday through Sunday. If you still have energy, Cubana on Adeola Odeku doesn’t get busy until midnight, so pace yourself.

Base yourself in Lekki Phase 1 near Admiralty Way. The Wheatbaker is too far in Ikoyi for this plan; try Bode Hotel, The George, or a serviced apartment on Fola Osibo so you can walk back from Landmark.
