Lekki Long Weekend: A 3-Day Itinerary With a Day Trip

Three days that mix the Lekki essentials with one full day out to Epe or Ibeju-Lekki, and it costs about 250,000 naira per person all-in.

Friday: arrival and easy start

Land at Murtala Muhammed by 3pm to avoid the Friday evening pileup on the Third Mainland Bridge. Check in by 5pm at a Phase 1 hotel. Walk to Hard Rock Cafe on Water Corporation Drive for an early dinner and to catch sunset from their beach deck.

After dinner, drive 5 minutes to Landmark Village. The Friday night crowd is younger and the shisha lounges start filling up around 10pm. Keep it light, because Saturday is a full day.

Saturday: the full Lekki tour

Follow the two-day Saturday plan: Nike Gallery at 10am, Lekki Market at 12:30pm, lunch at Terra Kulture, beach club from 4pm. Add one thing: stop at Lufasi Nature Park in Ibeju-Lekki on the way back if you leave the beach by 6pm. The park closes at 6:30pm but a quick loop is worth it if you didn’t book LCC.

Dinner at Cafe Vergnano in Victoria Island for Italian, or Bungalow on Ozumba Mbadiwe for pan-Asian. Sleep in Phase 1 again.

Sunday: day trip to Epe or the resort strip

Option A: drive 90 minutes east to Epe for the fish market at dawn (leave your hotel at 6am), a boat ride on the lagoon, and lunch at the Michelin Suites in Epe. Back by 5pm for sunset at Elegushi.

Option B: stay in Ibeju-Lekki. La Campagne Tropicana at Ikegun, Inagbe Grand Beach Resort by boat from Marina, or Amen Estate's day pass. Any of these gives you a full resort day 45 to 75 minutes from Phase 1. Sleep Sunday night in Phase 1, fly out Monday morning by 9am latest.

Questions, answered

Is three days enough to see Lekki and one day trip?

Yes, if you commit to one day trip and one beach club rather than trying both. The travel time to Epe or Badagry alone is 3 to 4 hours round trip, so it eats a full day.

Where should I sleep on a long weekend?

One hotel, all three nights, in Lekki Phase 1. Moving hotels mid-trip in Lagos is not worth the traffic cost. Phase 1 keeps you central for the day trip in both directions.

Doing good is the business: every booking through Stay Lekki funds one verified tonne of carbon removal — same room, same price, no markup.
