Where to stay near Eleko Beach

Eleko in one weekend

Eleko sits deep in Ibeju-Lekki, past the Dangote refinery turn-off, and it's where Lagosians go for a proper Sunday beach day without the Elegushi party crush. The beach itself is wide, the surf is real, and the cabanas — rented for ₦10,000-25,000 a day — are the default social setup. A small but growing cluster of beach lodges, guesthouses and Airbnbs has built up on the sandy side roads.

It suits weekend travellers, couples wanting quiet, and small groups doing a beach-house rental. It does not suit business visitors or anyone without patience for the drive — Eleko is 75-120 minutes from Phase 1 depending on the expressway and refinery traffic.

Beach cabanas: ₦10,000-25,000 for the day, not a place to sleep. Guesthouses just off the beach: ₦35,000-70,000 a night. Proper beach lodges with pools and generators: ₦80,000-160,000. Full private beach villas (via Airbnb): ₦200,000-500,000 for a weekend. La Campagne Tropicana further east goes higher still.

Walkable: the beach itself, a handful of fish grills, a small provision store or two. That is it. Bring what you need — the closest real supermarket is Novare Sangotedo, 30-40 minutes back west.
