Ibeju-Lekki is a local government area, not a neighbourhood — it covers everything east of Awoyaya out to Eleko, Akodo and beyond. Inside it sit the Dangote Refinery, the Lekki Deep Sea Port, the Lekki Free Zone, and a growing string of beach resorts. So "where to stay in Ibeju-Lekki" depends entirely on which corner you mean.
It suits weekend beach-getaway travellers, engineers on refinery contracts, and anyone happy to trade proximity to Lagos city life for space, palm trees and quiet. It does not suit visitors with any business on Victoria Island — you’ll spend three-plus hours on the road each way in traffic.
The price spread
Basic guesthouses inland run ₦20,000-40,000. Small beach lodges near Eleko or Akodo sit at ₦45,000-90,000. Proper resorts like La Campagne Tropicana or the beachfront villas around Ilashe-facing spots run ₦150,000-400,000 a night. Corporate hotels near the free zone hover at ₦60,000-130,000.
Walking distance is a beach-side concept only. On the coast, you’ll walk between your lodge, the sand and a fish grill. Inland, you’ll be Bolting everywhere and Bolt supply thins past Awoyaya. The Lekki-Epe Expressway is your only route; the trip from central Lekki takes 60-120 minutes depending on time and refinery-truck traffic.
