Where to stay in Lekki Phase 1

Who Phase 1 actually suits

Phase 1 is the pick if you want to step out of your hotel and be at a restaurant, ATM or supermarket within ten minutes on foot. Admiralty Way, Fola Osibo and the streets around Circle Mall pack in most of the peninsula's decent kitchens, from RSVP and Talindo to the shawarma stalls behind Ebeano. It suits business travellers with meetings on the island, first-time visitors who don’t want to negotiate every Bolt fare, and anyone who values a short walk over a big compound.

It does not suit budget backpackers — the cheapest halfway-clean rooms start around ₦45,000 and quickly climb past ₦100,000 for anything with a working generator and hot water. It also disappoints people expecting quiet: Admiralty Way runs loud until 2am on weekends, and the generators along Freedom Way growl through the night.

What a night costs and what is walkable

Budget guesthouses off Fola Osibo sit at ₦45,000-70,000. Mid-range serviced apartments around Admiralty and Hakeem Dickson run ₦90,000-140,000. The nicer boutique options — think The George or Lekki Colonial — land between ₦150,000 and ₦220,000, roughly double what you’d pay in Ajah for a similar room but half of Victoria Island rates.

Within a 15-minute walk you get Circle Mall, Ebeano supermarket, Terra Kulture's outpost, two dozen restaurants, several bank branches, and the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge for a sunset stroll. The beach is not walkable — you’ll need a Bolt to Elegushi or Landmark, both about 10-15 minutes by car depending on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
