The Phase 2 trade-off
Phase 2 stretches east of the Lekki-Epe Expressway from around Ikate down towards Chevron. It is where Lagosians who work in Lekki actually live: gated estates, generator hum, boys selling bread from wheelbarrows. Hotels here are mostly serviced apartments inside residential compounds rather than proper hotels with lobbies. That means better value per square metre — a two-bedroom with kitchen for ₦75,000 is normal — but you’ll be doing every meal and errand by Bolt.
It suits longer stays, families who want to cook, and anyone visiting friends in the Chevron or Agungi estates. It does not suit first-time visitors, solo travellers who want to walk to dinner, or anyone chasing nightlife — the closest bars of any interest are back on Admiralty in Phase 1.
Prices and what is nearby
Budget serviced apartments run ₦35,000-55,000, mid-range ₦60,000-95,000, and the odd boutique villa touches ₦130,000. That is roughly 30-40% less than equivalent square footage in Phase 1.
Walking distance is limited. Depending on which estate you land in, you might reach a Shoprite (Novare Lekki is a 15-minute walk from parts of Sangotedo-adjacent Phase 2) or a mama-put, but expect to Bolt for anything better. The expressway is 10-20 minutes on foot from most Phase 2 addresses, from where a Bolt to Phase 1 is ₦2,500-4,000.

Inside a gated estate, yes. On the expressway service roads, no — okadas race the shoulder and streetlights are patchy.
Which is quieter, Phase 2 or Phase 1?
