Osapa London is the strip around the Circle Mall junction on the Expressway, plus the residential roads that peel off south — Kusenla, Fola Osibo (which runs through Ikate as well), and Ilaje. It's got the useful stuff: Circle Mall for supermarket and cinema, Shoprite for groceries, a stack of chain restaurants, and a growing set of coworking offices. The area is functional rather than atmospheric — nobody comes to Lagos to see Osapa London, but plenty of people end up staying here.

It suits business travellers and remote workers on longer stays: cheaper than Phase 1, more infrastructure than Agungi, easy Bolt to anywhere on the Peninsula. It doesn’t suit weekend visitors chasing the beach-club and rooftop-bar scene — you’ll spend a lot of time in traffic. And the Expressway noise carries a long way; if you’re a light sleeper, insist on an internal-facing room at least three floors up.

At 9pm the Expressway frontage is still loud — okadas, generators kicking in after another power cut, the last shoppers leaving Circle Mall car park — but turn onto Kusenla or Ilaje and it drops to residential quiet within two blocks. A few of the newer coworking spaces run evening desks for people on Europe or US calls, which is part of why the area has filled up with long-stay remote workers rather than tourists. There's no beachfront and no nightlife strip; the appeal is entirely about the daytime infrastructure being reliable.

First-timers sometimes book here thinking it's close to Lekki Phase 1's bars because it looks that way on a map — it isn't, not at rush hour. Budget 20-30 minutes each way even for a short evening out, and factor that into whether the savings on the room actually pay off. If your trip is mostly meetings and video calls, Osapa earns its keep. If it's mostly evenings out, you'll spend the savings on Bolt fares and lost time.

Where to stay in Osapa London

Best value is on the streets between the Expressway and Chevron Drive — Kusenla, Osapa Osabo, Ilaje — where you can find clean guesthouses at $55-90 and serviced apartments at $90-140. The chain business hotels on the Expressway itself run $110-170. High season (November to February, when the diaspora crowd and conference traffic peak) pushes both bands up by roughly 15-20%; low season (April to July rains) is where the guesthouse rates soften toward $50. Avoid rooms directly above the Circle Mall car park exit; the horn discipline of Lagos drivers is what it is. Also confirm generator noise — some hotels site the units badly. For most business travellers, a serviced apartment off Kusenla is the safest bet: quieter than the Expressway, still a five-minute walk to Circle Mall.
